Meet Sakina Hayden, PMHNP-BC

As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I believe meaningful psychiatric care begins with truly listening to each person’s story, understanding their experiences, and recognizing the strengths and goals they bring to their care.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based psychiatric practice. I partner with each patient to better understand their individual needs, circumstances, preferences, and goals while developing an individualized treatment plan that is both clinically appropriate and meaningful to their life.

I believe you should have a voice in your care—and that treatment works best when we work together, at your pace, toward goals that matter to you.

Hello, I'm Sakina Hayden, PMHNP-BC

I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate psychiatric care to children age 5 and older, adolescents, and adults. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care.

I specialize in psychopharmacology and take a whole-person approach to psychiatric care. I believe effective treatment begins with understanding the person, not just the symptoms or diagnosis. When developing a treatment plan I consider the whole picture not just your the symptoms. This may include your medical history, environment, cultural background, lifestyle, support system as well as other factors that may influence how you feel day to day and impact your mental health and overall well being.

My approach combines evidence-based psychiatric treatment with appropriate holistic considerations. Together, we develop an individualized treatment plan that reflects your needs, preferences, goals, and input.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, or other mental health concerns, I strive to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment. Together, we can explore what may be affecting your emotional well-being and determine an approach that is appropriate for your individual needs and circumstances.

I offer both in-person and telepsychiatry appointments to make quality mental health care accessible and convenient. Wherever you are in your journey, my role is to walk beside you—not ahead of you—as we work toward your goals, strengthen resilience, and create a path toward greater emotional well-being and a more peaceful mind.

Your journey is yours. You don’t have to walk it alone.

“A Peaceful Mind is a Mind at Rest.”

Your experiences matter. Your voice matters. Your treatment should be personal to you
