A psychiatric evaluation is the first step toward understanding your concerns and creating a personalized plan for care. We provide comprehensive evaluations for children ages 5 and older, adolescents, and adults in a supportive setting where you can share your experiences and ask questions.
During your appointment, we discuss your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, medications, sleep, daily functioning, and treatment goals. For children and adolescents, we also explore developmental history, family circumstances, and experiences at school, with input from parents or caregivers when appropriate.
As part of the evaluation, we review available laboratory results and electrocardiograms (EKGs). If these have not been completed within the past three months, we request updated testing as appropriate for your medical history and the medications being considered.
Together, we review the findings and discuss treatment recommendations, which may include medication, therapy referrals, further assessment, or coordination with other providers. An evaluation does not automatically mean medication will be prescribed.
Before your visit, please complete the requested intake forms and have your current medication list, recent laboratory and EKG results, and any relevant medical records available.
My mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based, whole-person psychiatric care while partnering with you on your journey toward mental wellness and a more peaceful mind.
