Medication Management

Medication management is a collaborative process focused on how your medication is working and how you feel while taking it.

When starting a new medication, follow-up appointments are generally scheduled every two weeks to assess your response and monitor side effects. When continuing an established medication regimen, appointments are generally scheduled monthly. Visit frequency may be adjusted based on your individual needs.

During each visit, we discuss changes in your symptoms, mood, sleep, and daily functioning, along with any side effects, such as nausea or vomiting. We also assess safety concerns, including thoughts of suicide or self-harm, and address any questions you have about your medication.

Your feedback helps guide treatment decisions, including whether to continue your medication, increase or decrease the dose, or consider another option.
